Blueberry Pie Dishcloth Set Pattern #2

Dishcloth pattern #2 of the Blueberry Pie set. Enjoy!

Materials:
Same as for pattern #1

Stitches Used:
Chain (ch)
Double Crochet (dc)
Front Post Double Crochet (fpdc)
Back Post Double Crochet (bpdc)
Single Crochet (sc)
Half Double Crochet (hdc)

Ch 50
Row 1:  dc in 4th ch from hook (3 sk ch count as first dc) and in ea ch across.

Row 2: Ch 2 (counts as hdc), turn, fpdc in next 2 sts, bpdc in next st, *fpdc in next 3 sts, bpdc in next st* rep across to last 3 sts, fpdc in next 2 dc, hdc in last st.

Row 3: Ch 3 (counts as dc) turn, dc in 2 sts, fpdc in next st, (dc in next 3 sts, fpdc in next st* rep across, dc in last 3 sts.

Repeat rows 2-3 till dishcloth measures approx. 5 1/2 in.
Working in rounds from here.

Rnd 1: ch 1, *sc in ea st across, 3 sc in corner, 2 sc in ea dc/hdc edge, 3 sc in corner* rep around, sl st to first sc.

Rnd 2: ch 1, *sc in st across, 3 sc in corner (the middle stitch of the previous 3-sc corner)* rep around, sl st to first sc.

Finish off. Weave in ends.

    I am part of a block exchange where we need 12" squares using worsted weight yarn. Can you tell me approximately how many I need to cast on using ? hook size I might use to get a 12" square?

  2. Just finished it, cute ,sturdy, used #10 light green and light pink thread, 2.5m hook (couldn't find C, must be w another project) looks like a waffle, like it, thank you, good luck!
